2019: Focusing on the happy moments

Happy New Year!

I am back to the blog after a little festive break to relax and spend time with the family – the perfect way to start the year!

I’m feeling pretty positive about 2019 and I’m looking forward to seeing what can be achieved. I have not made any resolutions this year… I find that resolutions tend to be telling yourself to stop something or change yourself. They stem from quite a bit of negativity and this wasn’t where my mindset was this new year. Instead, there are things I would like to do and focus on – goals and a fun to do list.

New Year 2019

This is a year of big birthdays – Nathan turns 10 soon and I turn 30 at the end of the year. Recently, I shared my 30 before 30 challenge which highlights some things I would like to achieve this year. This includes taking Nathan abroad, learning something new and clearing out anything which does not bring me happiness in life.

I have started this by having a little refresh of social media friends and those I follow – deleting a few people… A small but important step at the start of a new year. The people that you surround yourself with make a big impact on your happiness.

I want to focus on creating and experiencing fun happy moments and this will heavily feature in 2019 blog content. I am planning a little rebrand of the blog soon too – I hope you all stick around to support this. It will continue to feature family fun, activity ideas, happy experiences and lifestyle.

Starting this blog was one of my happy moments of last year… I don’t know why I didn’t start sooner as it’s something I really enjoy doing. I was also lucky enough to make a small amount of extra money from this towards the end of the year which I am very thankful for.

Talking of money, I am hoping to save and make a little more this year… to fund more happy moments. I have planned some money-saving ideas along with planning and organising the above goals and much more. I love a good bit of planning, after all I am an event organiser for a living!

2019 planners and organisers

What are your goals for 2019? How will you ensure this is a happy year?

  1. Aww, I love your blog being one of your highlights! I do love a good planner like yours too, though I always forget about mine, haha!
My goal for this year is to focus on experiences and making myself happy instead of stressing about the “what ifs” about the future. Therefore, I plan to travel to places I’ve never been before! Very excited!
